  • PictureTel is a compressed digital videoconferencing system manufacturer that provides motion - video images over distance using economical digital transmission facilities. The codec(compressor-decompressor) samples the full-motion video input from a camera source, compresses it and then sends it to the distant location over ISDN BRI, SW56, T-1 lines, or IP Networks. The video systems are available in desktop units, compact systems, entry-level group systems with one monitor, or high-performance systems with one or two monitors and a full spectrum of features.
